Following the unlikeliest of accidents with a glass, Kerry
was left with a life-changing scar under her arm. As a
personal trainer and keen swimmer, she was naturally
concerned about how the scar might impact her freedom
of movement, as well as how it might draw attention.

Quite often I have the underside of my arm on display,
when I’m demonstrating exercises and things like that.
And, so, that kind of knocked my confidence a little bit.
However, Kerry was determined to do everything in her power to prevent her injury from holding her back.

Kerry was in no doubt that her accident could have been much worse: “The glass cut right
through to the bone, and missed the artery by a
centimetre!”. The experience prompted Kerry into action – even resulting in a change of career.

In terms of my scar, it was very
raw, very red, very painful. And
